Niclas Hoflin is the power behind the lighting brand Rubn, where the company ethos is based on producing products that are a perfect marriage of craftsmanship and contemporary design.

Hoflin's fascination with lighting stemmed out of 'boredom' at a very young age; when he paced around his parent's basement with a lighter. This dark basement firing his young, wild imagination with the endless possibilities of the interplay of shadow and light.

One of Hoflin's most recognisable products is the 'Long John' pendant. Raw brass lampshades that are attached to an iron frame hung from the ceiling using leather straps.
